The Prince Albert Piercing, being the top liked piercing among Men and Women (for different reasons), is worth a long talk. It is considered to be the sexiest male piercing and is gaining more popularity among teenagers.

If you’re considering getting a Prince Albert Piercing, you must know how it is placed, how it works, which jewelry goes well with it, the aftercare, cost, and everything else I am going to tell you today!

If you are new to the Prince Albert piercing, I would suggest you read the full article or at least click the headings mentioned in the table of contents and jump right to your concerned paragraph.

What Is Prince Albert Piercing?

The Prince Albert Piercing, also known as a PA piercing, is placed through the underside of the penile shaft toward the head of it. The needle is passed up into the urethra, followed by the Prince Albert jewelry, which then passes through the head of the shaft, perforating it.

Prince Albert Piercings are traditionally done to woo and to increase the pleasure of women.

I’m not sure why it is called a Prince Albert Piercing, but according to legend, Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert, had the piercing done for the first time, with a ring, so he could move his diggi (right & left), in order to avoid a noticeable bulge in his tight pants. At that time, it was called a Dressing Ring.

Prince Albert Piercing Process

The process involves a “ring style piercing” moved inside the urethr and pierced through the head of the shaft, puncturing the urethra.

The procedure should start with an anesthetic injection before the needle starts doing its work. I’m saying, with full responsibility, that 90% of men who get this piercing, tend to move their body (because of the pain) during the procedure and end-up hurting themselves.

The Prince Albert Piercing is one of the most sensitive piercings you can get, so it is important to get it done by an experienced piercer. Like every piercing, it also holds the chance of getting infected, and you don’t want to get your penis infected, right?

The piercing process is more likely to go smoothly if done by a piercer in front of whom you are comfortable with exposing your. I have seen people get very nervous before the procedure starts, due to this lack of comfort.

Some advice for newbie piercers would be to make your clients feel comfortable and get involved with them before you tell them to open their zipper!

Also, you don’t need to maintain an erec… (if it happens), it doesn’t help.

The Prince Albert Piercing causes more pain than any other piercing does. I have seen men crying. You can ask your piercer to apply a topical anesthetic at least 10 minutes before the procedure to circumvent some of this pain.

Healing Time

The Prince Albert Piercing can take between 4 weeks and 6 months to fully heal. It generally causes bleeding when fresh, but in some cases, it may also cause swelling and inflammation.

Prince Albert Piercing Pain

The Prince Albert piercing hurts more than any other piercing. Your diggi is being pierced. On a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 7 when it comes to the pain at the time of perforation. However, it hurts less at the time of healing.

A reverse Prince Albert piercing hurts more than the traditional Prince Albert piercing.

Reported Side Effects

Some wearers report that the Prince Albert Piercing enhances engagement among partners, while others reported it has side effects that you cannot afford to miss.

The Prince Albert Piercings can cause discomfort to a female partner while having if it comes into contact with her. It can also cause discomfort during oral, as the piercing may get stuck in your partner’s mouth and may lead to choking.

The piercing can also get stuck in your partner’s teeth and result in mucosal injuries to him or her. Reports of piercings being caught up in the clothes, or pulled and torn out, are available. Very large gauge or heavy jewelry can cause thinning of the tissue between the urethra opening and the healed fistula, resulting in accidental tearing and other complications. Extremely thin jewelry can also cause tearing of the tissue. The chances of such accidents increases if thin jewelry bears any weight.

Other Risks Involved

  • Bacterial Infection
  • Nerve Damage
  • Thick Scarring
  • Allergic Reaction to the jewelry
  • Bleeding that won’t stop

With the Prince Albert Piercing, there is also a risk of a thinning of the urethra as a result of scar tissue.

The risk of allergic reactions to jewelry can be minimized by using jewelry made up of metals such as surgical steel, stainless steel or titanium.

You need to clean the piercing daily in order to prevent any bacterial infections and soak it with saline water. Read the full aftercare below for further details.

Many people love the Prince Albert piercing, and these “possible side effects” shouldn’t stop us doing it. Below are the aftercare points, which followed properly, will lower the risks for sure.

Prince Albert Piercing Aftercare

Aftercare of this piercing is what you should take most seriously. Like every piercing, this piercing is also prone to infection. Because this is a piercing, your chances of infection increase due to sweat and urine.

Below are the best aftercare practices I advise. read the points carefully and, if possible, save it for future reference.

  • Wash It: As I stated previously, genitles are sweaty and you don’t want sweat to affect your piercing at any cost. Wash your piercing at least three times a day with an antibacterial soap
  • Soak it in piercing aftercare spray: Fill a cup with your piercing aftercare spray and put your piercing in the cup. Let it soak in the aftercare liquid for at least 5 minutes. Do this twice a day, first in the morning and again before sleeping. If you follow this strict rule, you will be able to complete the care during convenient times based on your schedule.
  • Do not let it become caught on anything: Yes, you have to keep this in mind while dressing and undressing. I would even suggest you wear it at all times, for the first few weeks. these are possibly the best protection your piercing can ever have (and it is 100% effective).
  • Change the underwear daily: Dirty underwear invites germs and may lead to infection. So change it daily.
  • Avoid activities that can lead to undue stress on the piercing. Wear lightweight jewelry for the first 3 months. Even if the wound is fully healed.
  • Soak it in sea salt solution: Soaking your piercing in a sea salt solution will help keep infections at bay. To make a homemade sea salt solution, you need 1 cup of sterile water (boiled for 5 minutes), 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt (aquarium salt from the pet shop would work) and tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic. I don’t recommend it for ear piercings like Daith and tragus piercings, but it’s good for the healing of a Prince Albert Piercing.

To prepare the solution, stir the sea salt in the sterile water until it is fully dissolved. Next, add 3-4 drops of tea tree oil to the solution. Tea tree oil, without any carrier, is very harsh, so make sure you don’t apply it directly to the piercing. You may apply the solution by using cotton balls or by soaking your piercing in the solution. I suggest soaking instead of cotton balls, because cotton balls may become caught in the piercing.

  • Getting plenty of rest is also very important since our bodies heal faster when we sleep.

  • Avoid eating spicy food. Spicy food can cause inflammation in the piercing and may lead to itching and swelling.

  • Avoid oral. Saliva contains bacteria that can lead to infections.

  • Also, avoid intercours.. for the first few weeks, as it can cause tearing of the tissue and may lead to other injuries.

  • Avoid self-stimulation. It can cause excessive stress on the piercing.

  • Once your piercing is fully healed and you want to test it in the bedroom, do not forget to wear a condom. The protection will help keep undue stress from the piercing and will also keep the excessive movement from causing injury.

  • Clean your piercing immediately after engaging in any intercours. Use the saline water solution, even if you wore a protection.

How To Know When The Piercing Is Being Safely Performed

  • Make sure your piercer is registered with the APP (Association of Professional Piercers). The APP is an organization that makes safety rules for people who do piercing. To be registered with the APP, the piercer needs to demonstrate all compliance practices, as per the organization’s standards.
  • The salon and the room where the piercer performs the piercing needs to be clean and sanitary.
  • The procedure should be performed using sterile, unopened, disposable instruments, and you should also check whether he or she is opening that particular jewelry for the first time or not.
  • If the piercer doesn’t use sterilized instruments, make sure he or she sterilizes it with an autoclave (an instrument used to sterilize the jewelry).
  • Do not get your piercing done at a place where the piercer uses a piercing gun to perform genital piercings, it is inaccurate and most piercing guns can’t be sterilized in an autoclave.
  • The piercer should follow basic hygiene rules, like washing the hands and wearing gloves, to perform the piercing.

Prince Albert Piercing Jewelry

Circular barbells, bent barbells, and captive bead rings are considered to be the most preferred styles of piercing jewelry when getting a Prince Albert piercing because their curves shape perfectly with the positions of the piercing’s entry and exit points. Once your piercing is fully healed, a Prince Albert Wand is an acceptable piece of jewelry to use. It is not advised to wear the wand on a fresh piercing, because it is a more advanced style of genital piercing jewelry, and is more invasive.

Titanium jewelry is the most preferred among all the metals for a fresh piercing, because of its non-reactive tendency. How To Strech The PA Jewelry.

How To Stretch Your Prince Albert Piercing

Follow this simple rule: every time you gauge up, wait at least 3 months before gauging up again. Although every human body has different healing times and needs different amounts of time to recuperate the tissues, 3 months should be more than enough and is the standard time frame to wait until you gauge up again.

It is important to remember that you should not gauge up more frequently, as it will not give your piercing the required amount of time for your tissues to fully heal.

The more you want to gauge up, the more time you need give your piercing to heal.

Can A Prince Albert Piercing Cause?

prince albert piercing can cause impotency, a lady is freaked out in this picture because of her man's ED,

A Prince Albert Piercing can cause if it is mistakenly pierced in the wrong place, and if, by chance, it damages or pierces. You should be very aware of the fact that you should follow the 3-month gap between two gauge ups, partially due to this danger. You should also be certain your piercer is experienced. If possible, you should get a reference from one of your friends who has gotten this piercing.

Does The Prince Albert Piercing Prevent S?

Most definitely not. For most people, the whole idea of getting this piercing is to enhance S. It is also a decorative idea for many people who believe that the exotic jewelry piercing through the tender flesh of the P, is better than just a normal, boring P.

Can It Be Used With a C?

It absolutely can! Most of the Prince Albert jewelry is smooth and does not wear Cs. However, Cs can break even without the interference of jewelry. No formal study is available which proves the increase of condom breakage with the use of Prince Albert jewelry.

I have numerous clients who use Cs with their Prince Albert piercing without any problem.

Does It Actually Lead To Better Org?

I have many clients and I have discussed with a few of them before putting this into words for you. It was a difficult task, phew…

Two of them said that it actually leads to a better org because of the attention to the spot, but one of them refused to attest such claims. She said “Yes I could feel it, but since I’ve never experienced an orgasm via spot, I cannot confirm the suggestion that a Prince Albert Piercing would lead to more fun. Although I loved it when he showed me his new piercing”.

So, it depends on your partner and his or her preferences, it cannot be generalized.

To Conclude

Piercings are a cool body modification which can be used for expression, and along with the cool looks, there are endless benefits to the body. For example, it has been reported that the Daith piercing can help heal migraines and the tragus piercing can help curb the appetite.

The Prince Albert Piercing has its own benefits and possible side-effects. If you enjoyed this article, please share it with your friends!
